Illustrated percentage ratio for the world's religions |
According
to Adherents.com there are about 22 recognised religious in the world, with
Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, African Traditional and Chinese
traditional religion being the major contributors. The fact that there is over
22 religious views and choices reveals the reality that mankind has freewill
and the ability to make choices that suit them and the lifestyles they intend
to lead. Various beliefs of how the world came to existence have been debated since
the beginning of time. How one chooses to interpret how the world came to existence
is a matter of what religious path they’ve chosen and over the years the aim
has been one religion trying to convince the other that its way is the right
one. Lack of peace, war, segregation and political unrest has all been a result
of the many misunderstandings and failure to accommodate one another in this
world, we often preach love, unity and peace but forget that due to the
different upbringings and backgrounds people will always be aligned to what
either serves them right or align with their situations. It is important to
rather focus on acceptance and tolerance among each other and forget trying
to prove the better of them all, the better will be a better place and quite
frankly it is an unreasonable task to convince someone of a right religion
because each and every one of them have a set of facts that substantiate their
claims.
